Pilgrimage to Italy

In the Fall of 2024, we had the blessing to visit many Montessori sites in Italy. We saw the historic site of the first Casa dei Bambini in Rome, where Dr. Montessori opened her first Children's House on January 6, 1907. We also had the gift to stop by Loretto on our way to Chiaravalle, the birth place of Dr. Montessori! Here we saw her house, now turned into a museum, and the church where she was baptized. Assisi left us a bit of reprieve, as we then headed to Perugia, where we visited Santa Croce Montessori School, and saw the Aula Montessori. Here we also spoke with some amazing Montessorians and learned a great deal about Dr. Montessori's time in Perugia. We are grateful for the graces the Lord bestowed on us during these days.
